Don't Worry, Be Happy

Jeremiah denounced the false prophets and priests of his day who, because they were greedy for financial gain would not speak the truth but lied to the people, proclaiming "peace, peace"... when there was no peace.  In today's lingo, the idea conveyed is "don't worry, be happy," we shall all escape from any end-time troubles. That is the popular view, and religious leaders repeat the lie and are not about to give up their paychecks to speak the truth (even though the Spirit of truth impresses and their hearts tell them otherwise). As a result the church is sleeping away in apathy, unaware of where we are in prophetic time and unprepared for what is about to break upon our planet.

Now is the time to prepare to "stand firm to the end." Standing against the rising tide of error will be hard; but, knowing you are about to face the raging current is a big part of spiritually preparing. It's about finding the Rock, and standing on Him and His Word while the flood of deception rises up to threaten you and your family. Jesus spoke clearly about the coming trial in no uncertain terms, "he who stands firm to the end will be saved. And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come," Matthew 24:13-14.  The gospel must go to the whole world, and this commission was given as a direct command to the early followers of Yeshua--many whom gave their lives for the cause Christ.  Today, the gospel commission has not change, nor has the potential that we may have to lay down our lives for our coming King.  Are you prepared for that possibility? Will you be a Daniel, who will live triumphantly, holding onto the LORD and to truthful convictions, even if you face the lion's den?  Determine now, come what may, you will serve the LORD.

Jeremiah 6:14-19

"From the least to the greatest,
       all are greedy for gain;
       prophets and priests alike,
       all practice deceit.

 14 They dress the wound of my people
       as though it were not serious.
       'Peace, peace,' they say,
       when there is no peace.

 15 Are they ashamed of their loathsome conduct?
       No, they have no shame at all;
       they do not even know how to blush.
       So they will fall among the fallen;
       they will be brought down when I punish them,"
       says the LORD.

 16 This is what the LORD says:
       "Stand at the crossroads and look;
       ask for the ancient paths,
       ask where the good way is, and walk in it,
       and you will find rest for your souls.
       But you said, 'We will not walk in it.'

 17 I appointed watchmen over you and said,
       'Listen to the sound of the trumpet!'
       But you said, 'We will not listen.'

 18 Therefore hear, O nations;
       observe, O witnesses,
       what will happen to them.

 19 Hear, O earth:
       I am bringing disaster on this people,
       the fruit of their schemes,
       because they have not listened to my words
       and have rejected my law.
