Genesis 40:13: Joseph prophesied to the chief butler, “Within three days shall Pharaoh lift up thine head, and restore thee unto thy place."  Genesis 40:19-22: Joseph prophesied to the chief baker. “Yet within three days shall Pharoah lift up thy head from off thee.. . And it came to pass the third day . . he restored the chief butler . . but he hanged the chief baker.”

Waiting In Suspense For Release Or Judgment: Joseph Puts His Brothers In Custody For 3 Days

Genesis 42:17-18: “And he put them all together into ward [custody] three days. And Joseph said unto them the third day, This do and live: for I fear God.”
